the corporations just don't care
how they poison the water and air
with fixed markets that they call fair
the lobbyists have gained control
we can't believe what we are told
our nation's debt cannot be sold
cause none of our money is backed in gold
we're constantly told that we're free
to be whatever we want to be
but it's all just fantasy
cause we cannot control our greed
i've never seen it so bad
our entire country has gone mad

that we still haven't left Baghdad
fighting in endless wars
carrying out some rich man's chores
we've lost all our local stores
